Deputy Yaroslav Nilov assessed the likelihood of introducing additional days off for one category of Russians.
The head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy, and Veterans' Affairs stated that it is unlikely that additional days off for weather-sensitive people will be introduced at the legislative level in the Russian Federation.
In a conversation with the radio station “ Moscow Speaks ,” Nilov said that any additional day off creates a burden on the budget, the employer, and the economy as a whole.
Therefore, the corresponding law is unlikely to be adopted. However, the deputy reminded that weather-sensitive people have several options.
If you feel unwell during a magnetic storm, you can take sick leave or negotiate with your employer.
Another option is remote work, if your schedule and job responsibilities allow for this.
Proposals for days off for weather-sensitive people have been voiced in the Russian Federation on numerous occasions. Members of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia and the Communists have put forward such an initiative.
