Vladimir Putin spoke in favor of introducing a new payment.
The President instructed the Russian Cabinet of Ministers to consider the issue of an annual payment for the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity.
This was announced on the website of the head of state on Monday, September 9.
But the material support measure concerns only large families. The president proposed to pay them a certain amount annually by July 8.
Putin set the task for the government. The Cabinet of Ministers must consider measures to implement this initiative.
The President expects to receive the report by December 1, 2024. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has been appointed responsible for implementing the order.
The Cabinet of Ministers will consider this issue from different angles, including determining the amount of the payment and methods of receiving funds.
Family, Love and Fidelity Day is celebrated annually in Russia. The date falls on July 8 and is not a non-working holiday.
The holiday is associated with the day of remembrance of Saints Peter and Fevronia.
