The period of intense heat will increase as the years go by.
There will be more dangerous phenomena due to warmer seasons.
"Researchers believe that summer temperatures will increase," Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, told TASS.
He explained that periods of intense heat will become more frequent as the years go by.
Vilfand noted that a temperature increase of 5 degrees above normal during the warm season for more than five days is dangerous.
This will lead to higher summer temperatures and more intense heat waves.
The meteorologist added that this will significantly increase the number of dangerous phenomena.
Due to global warming, they will double. This rate will continue.
Vilfand explained that dangerous phenomena include sudden cold and hot spells, heavy precipitation, thunderstorms and winds.
