A camera trap installed in the reserve captured an unknown creature.

Details were shared by employees of the Tunguska Nature Reserve (Krasnoyarsk Krai).

The creature was filmed back in June of this year. Experts tried to understand what kind of animal was caught on camera, but the answer was never found, Lenta.ru writes.

The animal ran in front of the camera trap quite quickly, so the video was slowed down ten times, but even this did not help.

It has been suggested that it is a wood grouse or a white hare. But the former has a large tail, and the latter does not run on two legs.

Experts note that the creature in the video moves on two fairly large paws and does so very quickly.

The camera trap captured the animal at night. Experts suggested that this animal leads a crepuscular lifestyle.

The Tunguska Nature Reserve was founded on October 9, 1995. Its area exceeds 296 thousand hectares (70% are forests and 15-20% are swamps).

The place is notable for the so-called Tunguska phenomenon. In 1908, a meteorite exploded here.
