The Transport Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Northwestern Federal District reported that two motor ships collided with each other on the Neva River in St. Petersburg.
It is emphasized that one vehicle, while performing a maneuver, crashed into another.
Preliminary information indicates that there were no casualties as a result of the incident, as reported by TASS .
At present, transport police officers are monitoring the situation in order to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
Collision of ships
Law enforcement officials indicate: “Police officers have arrived at the scene of the incident and are investigating the collision between two vehicles.”
The initial inspection revealed that both vessels had significant damage to the hull and paintwork.
The captains of both vehicles underwent medical examination.
During this procedure, law enforcement officers discovered that both captains were sober at the time of the incident.
