The Russian Union of Travel Industry spoke about the development of international tourism.
The department noted that the incoming flow of foreigners has increased significantly.
This statement was made by the Chairman of the Committee of the Russian Union of Travel Industry for International Activities, Sergei Voitovich, in a conversation with kp.ru.
As the expert noted, Russia is considered a safe country for tourism. And the euro exchange rate, which is currently set at 110 rubles, is comfortable for guests of the country.
Voytovich recalled that a room in a five-star hotel costs between 8 and 12 thousand rubles, and in rare cases reaches 15,000.
Taking into account the exchange rate, this amount is quite affordable for foreigners, since neither America nor Europe have such prices for accommodation.
As the expert noted, in 2024, the tourist flow from some countries increased several times. For example, there were 6 times more Chinese tourists, and 10-11 times more tourists from Arabia and Bahrain came.
The flow of tourists from Thailand also increased: 4 times more tourists arrived from here.
According to Voitovich, by the end of the year the number of newcomers could exceed 1 million people.
