State Duma deputies from the LDPR have submitted a new bill for consideration.
The document prohibits employers from refusing to hire women due to the absence of children.
Changes are planned to be made to the Russian Labor Code.
The co-author of the initiative, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Social Policy Yaroslav Nilov, reported this on his Telegram channel.
He explained that the bill is aimed at protecting women and their rights in the labour market.
Deputies want to establish a ban on employers refusing to hire female job seekers if they do not have children.
The document also states that employers will not be able to recall women with children under three years of age from maternity leave.
The bill should thus provide protection for mothers, single women and maintain stable conditions for families.
