There are no plans in Russia to ban Apple gadgets in the country.
State Duma deputy Anton Gorelkin commented on why the new bill is needed.
He explained that Russian users should have equal access to applications, which does not limit the use of Apple devices, RIA Novosti reports.
Gorelkin emphasized that rumors about a ban on Apple gadgets in the Russian Federation are a lie.
The law will not prohibit, but will create conditions for Russian users to access applications, including domestic ones.
In case of violation of the norms, fines are provided, he explained.
Negotiations with Apple are currently ongoing.
Deputy Gorelkin is confident that the parties to the negotiation process will be able to find a positive solution that will satisfy everyone.
Negotiations with the company, the parliamentarian emphasized, should, in all likelihood, end positively.
