The State Duma has come up with a new initiative regarding migrants.
The parliament proposed not to allow those who do not know Russian to study.

According to Vyacheslav Volodin, the initiative will be considered on October 9. If adopted, the document will come into force on April 1, 2025.
It is proposed to amend the law on education in the Russian Federation. According to the law, children of foreign citizens have the right to receive an education if their parents are in the Russian Federation legally.
It is assumed that when entering school, children of migrants will have to wait for testing of knowledge of the Russian language. This exam will be conducted free of charge on the basis of a general education organization.
