A State Duma deputy commented on the increasing number of attacks on ambulance crews.
A member of the LDPR party called for tougher punishment for such crimes.
Vladimir Koshelev made this statement in a conversation with RIA Novosti .
According to the parliamentarian, it is necessary to tighten the measures taken against those who attack medical workers.
There are quite a lot of such cases of aggression recorded and they do not decrease with time. At the same time, the attacks are not punished as severely as we would like.
Koshelev reminded that such cases are dangerous not only for the health, but sometimes even for the lives of medical workers. Delay threatens the death of the people to whom the ambulance was rushing to help.
Those who attack doctors should be put behind bars for a long time, the author of the initiative summed up.
He noted that the LDPR party had already proposed several years ago to equate attacks on medical workers with attacks on law enforcement officers. And so now the department intends to insist on the adoption of such a bill again.
