The Public Chamber of Russia has announced a catastrophic situation with migrant children in schools.
Deputy Chairperson of the Commission on Interethnic, Interreligious Relations and Migration of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Margarita Lange shared a comment on this topic.
The main problem is that many children who are enrolled in Russian schools have almost no command of the Russian language, reports the radio station " Moscow Speaks ".
According to Liange, some of the guys “can’t even put two words together.”
But teachers need to work with them because the school principal cannot refuse to enroll them.
Otherwise, it will be interpreted as a violation of the law.
That's why some teachers quit.
Lyange emphasized that this trend is observed in many regions, not only in Moscow.
The representative of the Public Chamber believes that every child should study, but to do this they must be proficient in Russian.
She did not rule out that schools could be created in Russia where children would be taught Russian from scratch.
But for now the situation looks quite complicated.
According to the Public Chamber, the word “catastrophe” is appropriate to describe the current situation.
