It has become known which destinations Russian pensioners prefer.
Most often, older people travel to two capitals.
RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the Tutu service.
According to the service's statistics, pensioners most often choose Moscow for their winter vacation. About one fifth of all elderly people traveling by air will go to the capital by plane.
The second most popular destination is St. Petersburg. The northern capital was chosen by 11% of pensioners.
Also in demand among older people:
- Sochi;
- Caucasian Mineral Waters;
- Kaliningrad;
- Ekaterinburg;
- Tyumen.
Among those who travel by train, the most popular destinations are also Moscow and St. Petersburg, with 26% and 10% of older travelers going there, respectively.
The following cities are also popular with pensioners, where they go to relax for the New Year holidays by train: Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Simferopol, Yekaterinburg and Adler.
