Currently, about 770 garbage dumps operating without official permission have been checked in the Russian Federation. RIA Novosti reports details with reference to the head of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources, Alexander Kozlov.
It is noted that the inspection of the landfills was carried out as part of the federal project "General Cleaning".
According to Kozlov, out of 770 landfills, only 38 are hazardous to human health.
He noted that in order to prevent unpleasant situations, it is important to eliminate the harm.
It is added that specialists are currently taking inventory of illegal dumps. Cleaning will be carried out in turns.
