The Ministry of Justice issued a warning to foreign agents.
The department emphasized that renaming the resources will not help with the foreign agent status.
Russian Justice Minister Konstantin Chuichenko issued this warning, RIA Novosti reports.
As the head of the department emphasized, renaming the resource does not relieve foreign agents of their responsibilities.
In particular, after changing the name or address on the Internet, the foreign agent marking must still be indicated. Otherwise, in its absence, the author of the materials may be brought to administrative responsibility.
Changing the name does not mean the emergence of a new legal entity, Chuychenko explained.
After the renaming, the same entity remains, therefore, it is obliged to adhere to all the obligations that fall on a foreign agent under the law.
At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Justice noted that all such renamings must be strictly recorded in a special register.
