The Ministry of Health announced changes that will affect sick leave.
In September 2025, new rules regarding the processing of documents on disability will come into force.
RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the corresponding draft order.
It is noted that the public discussion of the initiative has already been completed, and the results will be summed up soon.
According to the document, doctors are planned to be required to hand over medical documentation in cases where a person goes on sick leave four times per quarter.
According to the Ministry of Health, this is necessary to improve the quality of medical care provided to citizens of working age.
The following cases will be an exception:
- caring for sick relatives;
- medical rehabilitation;
- provision of medical care for socially significant diseases, which also includes renal replacement therapy.
The new rules are expected to come into force on September 1, 2025.
