Earlier, the Ministry of Health recorded four cases of West Nile fever. All of the sick people are in Tatarstan.
The first symptoms of fever resemble a cold. The temperature rises, and general weakness appears in the body.
However, there are also unusual symptoms that are characteristic of this exotic disease.
According to the agency, the fever is accompanied by pain in the eyeballs, lower back, and muscles.
If the disease is not treated, it progresses to a severe stage, which is characterized by decreased consciousness, vomiting, convulsions, and even loss of consciousness.
The Ministry of Health reminded that mosquitoes are carriers of the dangerous disease, so it is necessary to protect yourself from their bites and, if you feel unwell, seek medical attention.
