Dmitry Peskov spoke about the return of access to Instagram* in Russia.

Vladimir Putin's press secretary believes that there is no point in delaying this issue, but there is one important nuance.

The Kremlin representative shared a comment on this topic during his participation in the New Media Forum in Senezh, TASS reports.

According to Peskov, people need to regain access to Instagram* as soon as possible.

"But we are living in war conditions. And in war conditions there must be restrictions," Putin's press secretary added.

He stressed that in the future Russia should use all the possibilities of this platform to convey its position to the rest of the world.

Peskov indicated that this is his personal position on how Russia should deal with the American social network.

Instagram* has not officially operated in the Russian Federation for over two years. The decision on the American social network was made in March 2022.

On July 24, 2024, representatives of Roskomnadzor stated that the possibility of unblocking Instagram* is not yet being considered in Russia.

In 2023, the number of social network users was estimated at 1.2 billion.
