The Investigative Committee shared this information on its official Telegram channel.
The Investigative Committee believes that migrants should obtain Russian SIM cards immediately after crossing the border. Moreover, the department emphasized that foreign citizens should not only have a SIM card, but also use it.
This step is necessary to create a personal account on the State Services portal, as well as the ability to use all social services.
It is noted that the department sent a list of its proposals for improving migration legislation to the State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
The Investigative Committee does not have the right to legislative initiative, so all proposals are sent to various government agencies that are responsible for this.
