The head of the Ministry of Labor, Anton Kotyakov, told in which areas there is currently a shortage of workers.
Today, engineering and blue-collar jobs and the IT sector are in demand.
The minister said that Russia needs CNC (computer numerical control) machine operators and welders of all categories, RIA Novosti reports.
Engineers and IT specialists of various fields are in demand. This trend will continue in the Russian Federation for at least another 1–2 years.
Kotyakov added that two factors lead to the need to update the knowledge of employees who already have considerable experience.
Firstly, the goal is to increase labor productivity. Secondly, changes in technological cycles at enterprises make their own adjustments.
Before this, retraining of working specialists was primarily important for representatives of the military-industrial complex.
Now the focus will be on the manufacturing industry.
