Sergei Melikov was deeply outraged by the festive banquets that were organized in Dagestan on the day of mourning.
The head of the republic called this attitude on the part of his fellow citizens monstrous indifference.
RIA Novosti reported this with reference to a message distributed by Melikov’s press service.
Let us recall that on September 27, an accident occurred in Makhachkala, which took the lives of 13 people.
An explosion occurred at one of the gas stations, after which buildings at the site of the incident caught fire.
Due to the scale of the incident, the country declared mourning the day after the explosion. However, as it later turned out, not everyone adhered to it.
Facts were revealed about entertainment events being held throughout the republic, which, in Melikov’s opinion, is a manifestation of monstrous indifference.
The head of Dagestan called on local authorities to monitor such cases and take a tougher stance towards them if necessary.
