A houseboat or self-propelled house on water, operating in the conditions of the Far North, has begun to receive tourists. RIA Novosti reports details with reference to the head of the "Business and Investments" department of the Monchegorsk Development Agency, Alexander Polenkov.

It is noted that this house is intended for year-round habitation. It is distinguished by walking on water.

According to Polenkov, similar houses exist in London, Amsterdam, and Germany.

He noted that now a houseboat has appeared on Lake Lumbolka in Monchegorsk. In the future, the number of such houses will increase several times.

The head also specified that the lot of the Ozerny Krai complex has now been created. It is connected with the construction of three houses. After investors appear and all the work is completed, tourists will be able to relax there.

It is added that each of the three houses will have heating, water supply and electricity.
