It has become known about measures taken against one of the consulates general of Romania.
As of October 14 of this year, the Romanian representative office in Rostov-on-Don is winding down its activities.
This information was shared by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, RIA Novosti reports.
During the briefing, Maria Zakharova raised the issue of the future of the Consulate General of Romania, which previously operated in Rostov-on-Don.
She recalled that the Bucharest authorities have long been adhering to an anti-Russian policy, adopted among all states included in the corresponding list of unfriendly countries.
In connection with this, at the end of 2023, Moscow decided to cease the activities of the Consulate General located in Rostov-on-Don.
The functions previously performed by him are now assigned to the consulate, which continues its activities in Moscow.
It is noted that the activities of the Romanian Consulate General will be completely terminated on October 14, 2024.
