The State Duma commented on the possible complete cessation of access to Google services.
According to Anton Gorelkin, for now such a step is absolutely not beneficial for the foreign corporation.
The State Duma deputy voiced this opinion in a new publication on his Telegram channel.
According to Gorelkin, for now there is no point for Google to completely restrict Russians’ access to iCloud and other services.
This is all because, the official believes, Russian residents voluntarily give the corporation a source of information.
And some, under sanctions, even manage to buy paid services, the State Duma deputy emphasized.
However, Gorelkin called for a gradual abandonment of foreign services, since no one can guarantee that this will continue in the future.
There is a risk that sanctions will sooner or later begin to extend to the civilian sector, and in that case Russians will be immediately disconnected from all possible foreign services.
