Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technology and Communications Oleg Matveychev gave advice to Russians with Google mail.
According to the deputy, Russian citizens should start using other services.
In a conversation with Lenta.ru , Matveychev emphasized: “There may be certain consequences from using products from US corporations.”
In particular, the official noted that many personal data of Russian users could well be in danger.

According to the deputy, Russians' files stored on Google Drives risk being permanently deleted or transferred to a third party.
Matveychev added: “Our citizens may start receiving mailings from all sorts of scammers, which is very dangerous.”
According to the official, Russians should transfer their data to more reliable media. Copies stored on Google Drives or Gmail should be deleted.
The deputy recommended that Russian citizens begin to give preference to domestic digital products and platforms.
