State Duma deputies are working on a new procedure for registering private homes.
Russians will be required to register rights to real estate objects built on land plots immediately after construction is completed.
The corresponding bill is already being considered in the State Duma. At this stage, it has been adopted in the first reading, TASS reports.
Chairman of the State Duma Committee on State Building and Legislation Pavel Krasheninnikov explained the meaning of this initiative.
The deputy emphasized that the measure will reduce the number of real estate objects that are used without registration in the Unified State Register of Real Estate.
This initiative will also eradicate the practice of owning a house without rights to the land underneath it.
If the law is adopted in the second and third readings, then Russians will be allowed to use constructed real estate objects only after going through the registration procedure.
The implementation of this law will be monitored. Violators will be held accountable.
