Fraudsters are recruiting children to defraud them with bank cards. RIA Novosti reports details with reference to MTS's "Zashchitnik" product director Andrey Biychuk.
It is noted that in the Russian Federation there is a trend related to involving children in various frauds. Criminal schemes are aimed at transferring stolen funds.
According to Biychuk, scammers often post ads for simple work on the Internet. Such working conditions attract teenagers.
He noted that after the response, the scammers offer the child to receive a reward. To do this, the scammers ask the child to provide their card details, transfer money there, and then ask to transfer it to the specified accounts.
Biychuk emphasized that children perform these actions and do not realize the consequences. After the actions are carried out, they become accomplices.
It is added that if any fraud is discovered, it is important to report it to law enforcement officials.
