The traditional November sales are approaching, and this will inevitably lead to increased activity by scammers.

Dishonest people have already come up with many tricks to deceive Russians ahead of Black Friday.

This warning was issued to Russian citizens by experts from Kaspersky Lab, who were interviewed by RIA Novosti journalists.

Experts recalled that one of the popular schemes among attackers concerns the creation of copies of popular marketplaces. Often clone sites are quite difficult to distinguish from the original, since they use recognizable corporate colors and design.

Users are lured to phishing resources by tempting offers, including drawings of valuable prizes.

When a user wins, they are asked to enter personal data and pay a so-called “fee”, after which the person’s data is stolen.

Schemes involving the creation of phishing resources that are indistinguishable from the seller's account on popular marketplaces have also been discovered. The login and password entered on such resources will be at the disposal of fraudsters.
