The first claim was filed against Smart Retail LLC for compensation for moral damages in connection with harm to life and health.
The claim was filed after the defendant refused to satisfy the plaintiffs’ demands at the pre-trial stage, writes RBC .
Boris Feldman, director of legal affairs for the legal service Destra Legal, said that the victims are demanding up to 2 million rubles per person from the service that sold the dish.
Feldman noted that the defendant had withdrawn his claim in this case.
The plaintiffs' demands were not satisfied at the pre-trial stage.
He also clarified that another lawsuit was filed in the Dorogomilovsky Court against OOO Lokalkitchen.
In total, 30 claims are planned to be filed if agreements on individual victims cannot be reached at the final stage of the claims phase.
Feldman emphasized that the amounts of the claims reach 2 million rubles.
Many clients estimated the damages in terms of lost earnings, moral and physical suffering.
