Russian experts have revealed what helps the Japanese live long and healthy lives.
Rehabilitation doctor Sergei Agapkin and gerontologist Svetlana Trofimova shared their comments on this topic.
On the air of the program “The Most Important Thing” on the channel “ Russia 1 ”, doctors reported that one of the secrets of Japanese longevity is seaweed.
This product contains alginic acid, which absorbs toxic substances and removes them from the body, Agapkin said.
Trofimova added that seaweed has a beneficial effect on the functioning of the cardiovascular system and the brain.
Another secret is moderate salt consumption. Trofimova also noted that the Japanese monitor the caloric content of their food.
In addition, it is known that the Japanese prefer fish to meat as a source of protein. Agapkin emphasized that it is a rich source of vitamins and minerals.
