The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on a new fraudulent scheme using job search websites.
Fraudsters involve young people who are looking for work on the Internet in their crimes.
The specialized department for combating cybercrime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs shared this information with Russians on its Telegram channel.
The criminals operate in the following way: They monitor websites and chats where vacancies for young specialists are offered.
Having found a potential victim, the scammers start a correspondence with them and conduct a fictitious interview. Already at this stage, the criminals try to trick the person into giving up their personal data, which will then be sold.
At the same time, fictitious employers often provide the job seeker with documents that allegedly confirm the safety of the job and the vacancy offered to the victim.
If there is no payment option on the website, this is explained by commercial import or the presence of a commercial secret.
