In Kazakhstan, they calculated which countries' citizens spent the most money during their visit.
It turned out that the main financial and tourist flow in 2024 was provided by Russian citizens.
This information was shared by the Finprom.kz portal, which compiled its analysis based on data from the Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan.
According to published statistics, Russian citizens alone account for 43.8%. In total, Russians spent 1.8 billion tenge in Kazakhstan, which is equivalent to $3.69 million.
It is noted that this amount exceeded by 8.6% the amount spent by Russians a year earlier.
In addition to Russian citizens, the top also included tourists from Uzbekistan and Turkey, who spent 392.8 million tenge, equivalent to $805.3 thousand, and 299.7 million tenge, equivalent to $614.4 thousand, respectively.
It is noted that the Uzbeks spent 20% compared to 2023, while the Turks, on the contrary, increased spending in Kazakhstan by 10.5%.
