Russian pensioners can count on benefits and subsidies.
Discounts may be provided when paying for housing and communal services.
Senator Olga Epifanova reminded Russian pensioners of their right to benefits in a conversation with the portal " Gazeta.Ru ".
According to the expert, Russian pensioners can count on a subsidy if they meet the condition that housing and communal services cost them a certain portion of their income.
It is noted that this mark varies depending on the pensioner's place of residence. For example, in the capital it is 10%, and in Yakutia, as Epifanova recalled, it is 15%.
Elderly people can count on compensation for major repairs depending on their age.
For example, the authorities will compensate 50% of the costs of capital repairs for those pensioners whose age has exceeded the threshold of 70 years. Those who are over 80 years old can count on compensation in the amount of 100%.
The capital also provides additional benefits. For example, pensioners are exempt from paying for garbage removal if they are single. This category of citizens can also count on a 50% discount on the payment for a collective TV antenna.
