It has become known about the measures that will be taken against the Russian biathlete.

Evgeny Ustyugov lost the lawsuit, as a result of which he will lose the medals he won at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.

This was reported on the website of the independent disciplinary body Biathlon Integrity Unit (BIU).

In 2020, the International Biathlon Union (IBU) found the athlete using a banned substance, which resulted in the Russian being disqualified for two years.

Ustyugov filed an appeal, citing the presence of prohibited substances in his body as rare mutations. However, the court did not agree with the athlete's arguments and upheld the anti-doping committee's decision.
