The Russian ambassador revealed details of the preferential processing of work visas in Hungary.
According to the diplomat, this program does not at all imply simplified entry into the Schengen zone.
The Russian Ambassador to Hungary, Yevgeny Stanislavov, gave this comment in an interview with the RIA Novosti agency.
According to the expert, the National Card program primarily concerns highly qualified, specialized professionals.
This means that it can be used by Russians and Belarusians who are involved in the implementation of the Paks-2 NPP or other projects.
As Stanislavov noted, this program has been in effect for a year. However, Belarusians and Russians were included in it recently.
As the ambassador emphasized, the excitement that has been inflated around this fact in Europe is absolutely unfounded, since only a narrow circle of people can take advantage of this benefit.
Therefore, it is incorrect to talk about simplified entry for Russians and Belarusians, since the Hungarian “National Card” only provides for simplified registration of residence permits, and the check procedures themselves upon entry into the Schengen zone are carried out in the usual manner.
