Russia may introduce restrictions for alimony defaulters from the registry.
Russian Justice Minister Konstantin Chuichenko made this proposal on a state channel.
On air on the Russia-24 TV channel, he called for restrictions to be introduced for those who do not pay alimony, taking into account the practice of other countries.
According to Chuichenko, in this situation, the experience of China, where non-payers are prohibited from flying on business class airplanes, could be useful.
Chuichenko recalled that work on the relevant document is ongoing.
She also said that domestic Russian restrictions would soon be presented for public viewing.
Previously, it was reported that the lower house of parliament was working on a project for an electronic system for monitoring alimony payments.
The system will operate on the basis of the "Gosuslugi" service. A new section will appear in the personal account of alimony defaulters.
