Representatives of the movement noted that in Russia only a few regions provide families with a free set of things for babies or monetary compensation, TASS reports.
The People's Front proposes making this practice a nationwide practice.
Activists advocate for the introduction of a “newborn box,” which includes a set of things needed for the first year of a baby’s life.
The People's Front, together with the Central Bank, implemented this initiative for two years in the LPR and DPR, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions.
Now, activists are confident, it is time to take this action to the federal level.
The People's Front believes that this set should include items exclusively of Russian manufacture.
It is noted that families can refuse things and receive monetary compensation.
