Russia plans to lower retirement age for agricultural workers

In Russia, they have proposed lowering the retirement age for workers in the agro-industrial complex.

Rural workers will be able to retire early - women from 55 years old, men from 60 years old.

According to the bill, the pension rights of rural workers are to be brought closer to the pension rights of employees of security, internal affairs and defense agencies, Izvestia writes.

Men, workers in the agro-industrial complex, will be able to retire at 60 years of age, women – at 55 years of age.

The explanatory note says that agriculture and processing industry are showing stable growth.

In the face of economic changes, industries are successfully coping with important challenges, strengthening their technological independence.

It is planned to make the pension rights of workers in the agro-industrial complex equal to those of workers in the security, internal affairs and defense agencies.
