The increase in cases over the week reached 29.1 percent, hospitalizations - 24.2 percent, the operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus reports.
According to his data, 1,100 people were hospitalized in Russia from August 5-11.
During this period, 8,777 people recovered, but 14 patients could not be saved.
The operational headquarters explained that the incidence rate of the new coronavirus over 7 days of the above-mentioned period was 7.01 per 100 thousand population.
Increase in morbidity
An increase in the number of coronavirus cases has been observed in 59 regions of Russia.
Moreover, in 12 regions the increase is greater than the national average.
An increase in the number of hospitalizations was recorded in 47 Russian regions. At the same time, in 22 regions the increase is higher than the average for the Russian Federation.
The operational headquarters recalled that last week the incidence of coronavirus infection in the country also increased by 28.2 percent.
