A navigation system for smart trams has been presented in Russia. RIA Novosti reports the details with reference to the company Cognitive Pilot and its CEO Olga Uskova.
It is noted that the new system allows for the precise determination of the location of transport and solves the problem of “jamming” GPS signals.
According to the company, determining the location of vehicles is a major issue that arises due to the large number of places where external devices “jam” the GPS signal.
They also noted that the problem of accurately determining the coordinates of transport was solved by Cognitive Pilot specialists. They created their own navigation system.
According to Uskova, the new technology, as experts claim, can improve traffic safety by approximately 25%.
It is added that the new navigation system is distinguished by the presence of artificial intelligence. Thanks to it, it is able to correct coordinates.
