According to Roskachestvo, the situation is completely different in the territory from Volgograd to Derbent. In these places, where it rained after the heat, the harvest can be of high quality, despite the decrease in volume.
Latysheva noted that the harvesting period has now shifted to an earlier date.
According to her, an important issue for the quality of wine is the speed of harvesting grapes. In the heat, grapes lose acidity and accumulate more sugars. In the finished wine, this can manifest itself in the form of a stale taste, a high level of alcohol in the drink.
It is added that, overall, a major decline in crop yields in Russia is not expected.
