The decision taken by Vladimir Putin regarding Georgian citizens has become known.
The head of state decided to expand the visa-free regime.
This is indicated by a document posted on the portal for the official publication of legal acts.
It is noted that amendments will be made to the document regulating the rules for entry into and exit from the Russian Federation of Georgian citizens, adopted on May 10, 2023.
Let us recall that last year Vladimir Putin abolished the visa regime with Georgia and also allowed direct flights to this country.
Visas were required for those who were going to Russia to earn money or study, as well as for citizens who planned to stay here for more than 90 days.
According to the new decree, citizens of the Transcaucasian republic can now stay on the territory of the Russian Federation for longer than the previously established period of 90 days.
It is emphasized that we are talking about Georgians who come to Russia for the purpose of studying or working.
The decree came into force from the moment it was published on the website.
