Journalist Evgeny Ksenzenko died less than two weeks before his 45th birthday.
His death was reported by the TV presenter's wife, Ekaterina Nikolaeva, on her social media page.
Ksenzenko passed away on August 16. The journalist had recently been battling cancer.
Ksenzenko's relatives believed until the very end that he would be able to overcome his serious illness. But the disease did not respond to treatment.
In March, the journalist's wife said that her husband consulted with an oncologist about the tumor mutation and treatment strategy.
But the doctors' efforts were not enough. Evgeny died surrounded by his family last Friday.
On August 28, Ksenzenko would have turned 45. He was born in 1979 and since the early 2000s worked as a parliamentary correspondent for NTV and was the author of films from the series "Profession - Reporter".
Later he headed NTV's representative office in Britain and filmed reports for REN TV.
