Ulan Japarov, nephew of President Sadyr Japarov, has been detained.
The State Committee for National Security officers detained him, after which a petition for his arrest followed.
The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek informed about the detention of Ulan Japarov, Sputnik Kyrgyzstan writes, citing its sources.
The petition for Japarov's arrest was granted by a court ruling.
The detainee was placed under preventive detention.
Ulan Zhaparov will remain under arrest until August 19. He is suspected of fraud on an especially large scale.
The nephew of the country's president, Sadyr Japarov, has been accused of committing a serious crime.
He will remain in custody until a decision is made.
Previously, Ulan Japarov was detained in June 2023. Law enforcement officers accused him of corruption schemes at customs.
He was released under house arrest while the case is pending before the court.
