Popular cities for Russians to celebrate the New Year have been revealed

Russians have decided where they want to go to celebrate the New Year.

Analysts have named the cities in Russia and the world that are in demand this year.

Experts from the online service OneTwoTrip have found out that the majority of Russians will celebrate the arrival of 2025 in their homeland, Lenta.ru reports.

Moscow topped the domestic top (17.8%). In second place was St. Petersburg (12.5%).

The top 5 included Sochi (10.9%), Kazan (4%) and Adler (2.6%).

Dubai leads among fans of overseas New Year's holidays (11%).

Minsk is in second place (7.2%). But Phuket in Thailand is in third place (5.2%).

4.7% will travel to Istanbul, and 3.9% will visit the Cuban resort town of Varadero.

Analysts also learned that most Russians who celebrate the New Year in a hotel will spend the night without children.

Only 16.7% will celebrate with one child, and 9.3% with two children, according to the study results.
