The 28-year-old athlete failed a doping test, but still got the opportunity to compete at the Olympics in Paris.

Polish rower Dorota Borowska attracted media attention when the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled in her favour.

In June 2024, the athlete failed a doping test. Experts found clostebol in her sample.

The court ruled that the rower had violated anti-doping rules. But the circumstances indicate that she was not guilty, the International Testing Agency website reports.

This means that Borovskaya can participate in the competition, the authorities concluded.

The source of clostebol was the athlete's dog's medication. The drug was used to treat the pet's injuries.

The court found that there had been unintentional contact with a prohibited substance.

Borovskaya was allowed to compete in the 500m doubles on August 6 and the 200m singles on August 8.
