Recently, an agreement was signed between the Academy of Talents center, the Gorchakov Lyceum of MGIMO and St. Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University.
According to it, one of the universities will take up the education of gifted children.
Talented schoolchildren will study at the Saint Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University (SPbSPMU). Details are reported by TASS with reference to the university rector Dmitry Ivanov.
It is noted that gifted schoolchildren will not only be trained in providing medical care, but will also be able to take part in research.
According to Ivanov, the country is currently faced with the task of making a breakthrough in all scientific fields. That is why it is important to find teenagers who are focused on medical science.
He noted that thanks to this step, the human resources potential should improve.
The rector also noted that the university's interaction with schoolchildren will be profound. The children will be able to absorb important knowledge and undergo training. They will also be able to receive benefits upon admission.
