They want to expand the list of professions for alternative service to 237 specialties.
This proposal came from representatives of the Russian Ministry of Labor.
The agency also advocates for expanding the list of enterprises where citizens performing alternative service can work, TASS reports.
The list currently includes 224 professions and 1,305 enterprises. The Ministry of Labor wants to increase the list to 237 specialties and 1,442 organizations.
It is expected that the updated version will come into effect during the autumn draft this year.
Some new professions concern work in the field of hydrometeorology, medical activities to monitor those involved in physical education and sports.
The list also included a surgical nurse and a mid-level librarian.
In total, the general list will be expanded by 13 specialties, the Ministry of Labor reported.
