A neurologist told Russians what a lack of vitamin D in the body can lead to.

This condition can lead to the development of multiple sclerosis.

This opinion was voiced on air by Olga Boyko, a specialist at the Federal Center for Brain and Neurotechnology of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia, on the radio station “ Moscow Speaks .”

Multiple sclerosis is a dangerous disease in which a person's immune system attacks his or her own spinal cord and brain.

This causes numbness in the limbs, impaired coordination of movements, vision problems and other symptoms that may appear from time to time or persist for a long time.
