The Ministry of Transport, Rosaviatsia and carriers are holding negotiations with Cuban authorities.
Flights from Moscow to Cuban airports are operated by Rossiya and Nordwind airlines, TASS reports.
According to the Nordwind Telegram channel, the republic’s airports will not refuel aircraft during this period.
For this reason, flight N4 555 from Moscow to Varadero was delayed.
Aeroflot confirmed that flights are operating as scheduled. The Russian company is cooperating with Cuba's management and fuel suppliers on all issues.
The Federal Air Transport Agency warned that the flight program between Russia and Cuba could likely be reduced.
The possible changes, as the airlines emphasize, are related to the shortage of jet fuel at the airports of Havana and Varadero.
We are talking about a short-term period until December 8. How the situation will develop in the future remains unclear.
