An expert shared his observations with Russians regarding open databases.
The lawyer advised, if necessary, to search for information about other people using publicly available databases.
The chairman of the Moscow Bar Association "Andreev, Kagansky, Guzenko and Partners" Andrei Andreev made this comment in a conversation with RIA Novosti journalists.
Andreev reminded Russians of the existence of free services that are publicly available. Russians always have at their disposal:
- state registers;
- sites where you can check your debt;
- social media.
All these tools help to understand where a person lives, what level of finances he has, as well as about legal proceedings against citizens.
At the same time, the lawyer reminded that the legality of the search is determined by legal norms.
In some cases, an individual's consent may be required for their data to be processed, for example where information is collected for recruitment purposes.
